Gambit Gaming Battle Vault holding dice, mission cards and measuring tools

Essential Wargaming Accessories: Meet the Battle Vault

A good tabletop setup is about more than miniatures and terrain. The right wargaming accessories can make games quicker to set up, easier to manage and far less likely to be interrupted by a hunt for missing dice, mission cards or measuring tools.

That is why we created the Gambit Gaming Battle Vault: a practical storage box designed to keep your essential tabletop accessories organised, protected and ready for your next game.

What is the Battle Vault?

The Battle Vault is a purpose-built wargaming storage box for the accessories players regularly take to the table. Its divided internal tray provides dedicated space for dice, mission decks, objective markers, tokens, measuring tools and other gaming essentials.

Rather than carrying several loose containers or tipping everything into a bag, you can keep the smaller parts of your tabletop setup together in one organised system. Card slots along the rear of the Vault also allow mission or reference cards to remain visible during play.

The Battle Vault measures approximately 23.2 cm wide, 24.2 cm long and 9 cm deep, providing useful storage capacity without becoming awkward to transport.

The magnetic lid does more than protect the contents. Remove it, turn it over and it becomes a dedicated felt-lined dice tray. This gives you a controlled rolling area while helping to reduce noise and stop dice scattering across scenery, miniatures or the floor.

When the game is finished, the lid reconnects securely using integrated magnets. Your dice, cards and measuring accessories can then be packed away in the same place, ready for the journey home.

Which wargaming accessories fit inside?

The internal layout is designed around the items tabletop players are most likely to use throughout a game. Depending on the size of your individual accessories, the Battle Vault can hold:

  • Dice and dice sets
  • Mission decks and reference cards
  • Objective markers and gaming tokens
  • Tape measures and measuring tools
  • Curved movement and deployment markers
  • Small counters, wound markers and other tabletop essentials

Keeping these accessories separated makes them easier to find during a game and helps prevent cards, dice and markers from becoming mixed together in transit.

Customise your Battle Vault

For players who want their storage to match their army, gaming setup or personal style, the Custom Battle Vault offers a choice of box, trim, tray and logo colours.

You can choose from ready-made colour combinations or build your own using black, pink, gold, red, white, dark green and purple. Lid options include the Gambit Gaming logo, trim-only styling and a selection of original tabletop-inspired designs.

The standard black and gold configuration provides a clean Gambit Gaming finish, while the custom options let you create something more distinctive for your own collection.

Complete your tabletop setup

The Battle Vault sits at the centre of our growing range of wargaming accessories. The range also includes curved measuring markers, a compact multi-tool and accessory bundles designed to cover common tabletop distances and keep useful tools close at hand.

If you are starting from scratch, the Battle Vault Wargaming Bundle combines the storage system with a selection of measuring accessories for a ready-to-use tabletop setup.

Designed and made to order in the UK

Every Battle Vault is precision 3D printed in durable polymer and made to order in the UK. This gives the box a rigid but lightweight construction that is practical for regular gaming sessions, club nights and events.

As each Vault is produced to order, please allow up to five additional working days for production alongside our usual delivery times. Orders containing both clothing and accessories may be dispatched separately.

Why organised wargaming accessories matter

Organisation will not win the battle for you, but it can make the experience smoother. Having your dice, cards, markers and measuring tools in one place reduces setup time, keeps the gaming area tidier and makes it easier to check that everything has been packed away afterwards.

Whether you play at home, at a local club or at competitive events, the Battle Vault gives your tabletop essentials a dedicated place between games.
