Why We Choose Embroidery
At Gambit Gaming, we choose embroidery because we want our gaming clothing to feel like something you can wear anywhere—not just during a hobby night. Every garment is embroidered in-house to order by our small team, giving us control over the finish and allowing each design to be prepared individually.
Embroidery is not the quickest way to decorate clothing, but it creates a textured, premium result that suits the detailed crests and symbols found throughout our collections.
Embroidery Creates a Premium Finish
Unlike a design that sits as a flat layer on top of the fabric, embroidery is built from thread stitched directly into the garment. This gives each crest visible texture, depth and definition.
The result is deliberately understated. Our designs can be recognised by fellow gamers while still looking like quality everyday clothing away from the gaming table.
Embroidery Does Not Crack or Peel Like a Transfer
Many printed garments use ink, vinyl or a transfer applied to the surface of the fabric. Depending on the method and how the garment is cared for, a surface print can fade, crack or peel over time.
Embroidery behaves differently because the design is made from thread. It will not crack or peel in the same way as a printed transfer. Threads can still be damaged by snagging or excessive heat, so sensible care remains important, but well-looked-after embroidery is designed to remain part of the garment for years.
Why We Embroider In-House
We carry out our embroidery in-house rather than sending every order to a large external production company. This allows us to check the design, placement and stitching as each garment is prepared.
Because our garments are made to order, there can be a slightly longer wait than with mass-produced clothing that is already sitting in a warehouse. We normally ask customers to allow up to five working days for an order to be prepared for dispatch.
How an Embroidered Garment Is Made
- The correct garment, colour and size are selected for the order.
- The design is prepared for the embroidery machine.
- Stabiliser is placed behind the fabric to support the stitches.
- The garment is secured in an embroidery hoop.
- The design is stitched using the required thread colours.
- The garment is removed, trimmed, checked and prepared for dispatch.

Why a New Crest Can Feel Firm
Embroidery contains thousands of stitches and usually requires stabiliser behind the fabric. This means a newly embroidered crest can feel firmer than the surrounding garment. It normally softens slightly through washing and regular wear while retaining its shape.
Small Variations Are Part of Made-to-Order Production
Each garment is individually hooped and embroidered. Very small differences in placement or stitching can therefore occur between garments. These minor variations are a natural part of small-batch, made-to-order production and should not affect the overall appearance or durability of the design.
